Remember nails are jewels not tools!!!!

Many of your daily habits may need altering because of your new nails and even some movements and mannerisms will need to be different. For instance it may be necessary to use a pencil with an eraser to dial the phone or to use the knucle area of the hand for opening car doors or closet doors.

Strong cleaning solutions may discolor the product on your nails so pkease wear rubber glves when doing heavy cleaning. Beach and Clorox can make your nails lift so PLEASE wear gloves even while doing yard work.

Use only a non-acetone polish remover a top coat of clear sealer nail enamel every 5 days will help lock out moisture and residue from creams, lotions or oils that your hands may come in contact with.

Not everyone can wear acrylic nails--one type of a non wearer is often incompatible with the product is the person who must take medications or drugs of the Steroid family, these chemicals can cause nails to release their tight bond and loosen or even cause your own nail plate to come off the nail bed itself. A person with oily nail beds or someone using antibiotics may also have lifting problems. But do NOT fear... there are other alternatives to acrylics, you can also try Gels, or Wraps. Children under the age of 16 are NOT recommended to wear nails beacause of P.E school activities.

Every set of nails are different this is due to the shape of your natural nail bed. You may admire someones nails and want yours to look the same. Due to the unique shape of your on nail bed, your nail technician will offer the look and contour that will best suit your nail bed shape and needs. In adition, when there is no free-edge to work with the acrylic tip may be a little thicker than what you may like. As soon as the free-edge grows out underneath the acrylic nail we can use less product on the stress areas and the nails will take on a more natural look.

When to schedule your next fill-in
Your natural nails grow out steadily at their own pace. As they do your acrylic nail travels with them leaving behind an ever-increasing gap at the cuticle. A regularly scheduled fill appointment will be scheduled 2 or 3 weeks after your set of nails are created. At your fill appointment we will file and drill away the loose product around the cuticle area and replace with new product, then file, buff and polish your nails. It is of utmost importance to get your fills as often as prescribed by your Nail Technician. If you choose to go past the specified time between fills your nails stand the risk of lifting. Lifting can cause a moisture stain (MILDEW) which should not be ignored. In addition, there will be a charge for all repairs.

Reasons for Lifting
1. Excess moisture has softened and ruined the seal between the nail bed and arificial nail
2. The nail received a harsh blow
3. You are overdue for your fill
4. Metabolic changes
5. Mildew (moisture stain)
Mildew stains can happen to anyone. Mildew or green stains begin when the moisture content under the artificial nail is high. This can be prevented by receiving fills every 2 weeks or as prescribed by your Nail Technician. If you notice a mildew stain simply dry out the nail with a blow dryer, you should then call for an appointment to repair and fill your nails.
6. By not wearing gloves while doing dishes or gardening
